    What it costs

Typical installed cost for commercial EV charging in Florida runs $5,000–$8,000 per port, before incentives. Where you land in that range depends on trenching distance from the panel, available electrical capacity, pedestal vs. wall-mount, and the total number of chargers (shared infrastructure scales).

The federal 30C tax credit has expired, so no property should budget around it. What remains is at the utility level: FPL's EVolution Make-Ready Credit is open and provides up to $1,200 per port for Level 2 charging, first-come until the program budget is depleted, and Duke Energy Florida's Commercial Charger Prep Credit covers wiring, panel, and conduit work while excluding hardware and permits. Florida Chargers files that paperwork and shows a real net number on day one.

For most Florida properties we install the Tesla Universal Wall Connector — a Level 2 charger with NACS plus a built-in J1772 connector, so it works with every EV on the road. It's networked on the Tesla platform, so your site lists on the Tesla app and nearby drivers are routed to you.
